Iceland: Value of catch January-October 2009 increased by 19.2% between years
Total value ISK 95 billion
Total value of catch of Icelandic vessels amounted to ISK 95 billion in January-October 2009, compared with ISK 80 billion in the first 10 months of 2008.
Total value increased therefore by 19.2% between years.
Total value of demersal species accounted for ISK 67 billion; thereof cod ISK 29 billion, haddock 13 billion, and redfish 8 billion.
Total value of pelagic species accounted for ISK 19 billion and flatfish catches for ISK 8.4 billion.
